Know Him Or This Minivan? Man Accused Of Stealing From Montauk Highway Store

A reward has been offered for information that leads to the arrest of a man caught on camera stealing sneakers from a Suffolk County shoe store earlier this year.

Police investigators in Suffolk County have released photos of a man and his minivan after he allegedly stole a pair of sneakers from a store in Shirley.

The Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in tracking down a man who allegedly stole two pairs of sneakers from Famous Footwear on Montauk Highway on March 29 in Shirley.

Police said that the man stole the sneakers, then fled in a black or dark gray Dodge minivan that was missing rear hubcaps. In surveillance videos, the bald man was seen wearing a dark colored sweatshirt or coat and jeans.

The Suffolk County Crime Stoppers has offered a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the suspect’s arrest. Anyone with information has been asked to contact investigators to submit a tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” and the message to ‘CRIMES” (274637) or by email at www.tipsubmit.com.
